Neutral facilitation for clear communication and voluntary agreements.

Sessions are typically booked in 2-hour minimums. Intake & screening: $100 per party.

The Process

1

2

Structured Sessions

Neutral facilitation focused on option-building, issue framing, and helping both parties find common ground.

3

Term Sheet

A written, non-legal summary of your agreed points (if an agreement is reached) for you to review with independent counsel.

Special Education Mediation

Mediation vs. Document Preparation

These are two very different services. Understanding the difference helps you choose the right path.

Mediation

Neutral facilitation between both parties

  • A certified mediator works with both sides together to find common ground
  • The mediator remains completely neutral—no advice to either party
  • Goal: a voluntary, mutually agreed-upon resolution
  • Results in a non-legal term sheet for review by independent counsel

Document Preparation

One-sided administrative assembly help

  • Works with one individual who is representing themselves
  • Helps organize, format, and assemble your documents per your direction
  • Goal: a clean, court-ready filing packet
  • No facilitation between parties—no negotiation or mediation involved

Important Information

  • We do not take sides or advise either party on what to accept.
  • Parties are encouraged to seek independent legal advice before signing any agreements.

Vanessa is a certified mediator. We pursue training and experience consistent with NY court ADR standards and community-based mediation pathways.
